Mike,
The problem with the Hypertech chip is it's a piggyback unit... you have to 
have the adapter board and the stock chip plugged into the board as well.
The main problem you'll find, even with the right chip/VATS, is the chip 
will not be able to run your engine with the mods you have properly... It 
will go into limp mode as it tries to get the fuel rich enough for the motor.
You will need a custom chip for that beast.  Then, you won't need the 30hz 
signal, as VATS can be disabled in the chip.
