The analog circuit based limp home mode will ignore many of the sensors.
 On a MAF engine, I believe it only uses TPS and CTS (and engine RPM).

Missing sensors don't force limp home mode.  Limp home is only for an
out to lunch digital CPU.  In other words, a dead CPU or a bad PROM.
