ECMs interchangable?

They aren't "interchangeable".  They have different software, and the
PROM layout is lamost certainly different.  The 16144288 was only used
on V6's.  It may or may not have code to support V8's.  It is possible
that the minimal amount of code needed for this wasn't removed.  On the
other hand, these truck TBI ECMs have been pressed for code space ever
since the '747.  Hence, any little unneeded feature may have been removed.
