A Emulator is a memory device that is used in place of an Eprom that
essentially makes
a computer "think" the Eprom [etc] is in place. The Emulator usually is
able to store multiple
program Images and will allow editing / loading of that image[s] without
erasing/ burning a
new Eprom. Emulators are very handy , time saving devices , especially if
your Ecm doesn't
have flash memory or is incapable of being retrofitted with flash memory.
