what is an "emulator"?

(being gmecm specific)
It's a devise that allows you to run your ecm or pcm without a eprom.  Think
of it as an editor like Tunercat with a mind meld with ecm so that you don't
have to burn a chip for everychange.  Some allow changes without even
rebooting the ecm (restarting engine).
