tuning q for 730 ecm

Heres what I think the reason is it works for some and not others:

TCC lock at the track works to better the ET if your setup makes more
average power at RPM's BELOW your normal auto shift point with TC unlocked
(or if your setup makes more average power below where you MANUALLY shift
your auto trans and you didn't realize it.). If you can lock the TC at your
peak power it serves to extend or flatten the power curve as it holds peak
RPM for a longer period. Think of it as a switch that changes your 3.73's
into 3.42's (well, to illustrate anyway). Use the 373's for takeoff and
switch to 342's to keep your 1/4 mi RPM's from extending too far above
average peak power.

If yer gonna lock it, Dont lock it at too low a RPM if you make more power
in the upper range.... you're just delaying the good R's arrival.

Locking it is cheating.. whereas N2O, for example is "natures" mod LOL ;-)

My $0.015 Now back to your regularly scheduled EFI content.
