Comms problems

     I'd suspect the BCM's are different, as most are listed per MY and 
spec equipment.
     There  could be inter module com problem , which _ May be part of the 
scan tool
     Glitch you're incurring. Check if the 88 BCM part matches the 1470 ECM.
