Here's what Ed Parks mentioned about this a long time ago:

  Fiero 2.8 ECM, 3.4 injectors, 3.4 engine:  ECM injects too much fuel
  Fiero 2.8 ECM, 2.8 injectors, 3.4 engine:  Not enough fuel

You'll either need to play with the fuel pressure, or make/get a custom
chip for the Fiero ECM.
