TBI Memcal

It has been posted before that a V6 batch fire port EFI memcal can be used as 
a V8 by grounding pin 56 so that the ECM thinks the Memcal is a V8. (Thanks 
Ludis) You lose limp home and knock sensor and I accept that. However, will 
this trick work on TBI Memcals as well? I have a 1995 TBI 16197427 ECM with a 
Memcal from a 4.3L. Is it necessary to ground pin 56 or any other pin on 
these as well?
