BLM Cells for $88

Code for $88, $A1 (and possiblely 8F and $DF) only use 3 BLM cells as opposed to the 16 cells used in $8D.  Has any one considered a patch for more BLM cells?  Any reason the V6 stuff should only have 3 cells?
