The Evap pressure sensor in the tank is used for diagnostics only. The PCM 
tests the evap purge solenoid, vent solenoid and general integrity of the 
evap system with this device. It has no effect on the evap operation other 
than possibly turning off the purge solenoid/vent solenoid if the tank 
pressure becomes too low, because of a system failure.
