   The Northstar uses three pick-up sensors for the DIS. Two are mounted in 
the left side of the block and are triggered by a gear that is integral to 
the crankshaft. The third sensor is a back-up in case one of the other two 
fail. It is located on the front of the right head and is triggered by a pin 
located on the exhaust cam gear. The ignition module was in the neighborhood 
of $250 last time I bought one which was a couple of years ago. Also there 
are four coil modules. Haven't purchased any of those.
