Yes, sir! that was my experience too. (with the sticking in the engine and
mangling the cap). It is easiest to get the OEM seal, especially thinks to
your having the part number. But the Viton lathe-cut seal will not become
hard and fail to seal like the OEM rubber ones. I've had one in my car and
it has survived numerous distributor R&I's and is still sealing. After 6
years and 100,000 miles.
