[Gmecm] Ethanol

Is anyone here familiar with using E85 with a port fuel injected system?
I've been thinking of doing that on my truck with a TPI system. I've turned
up little information on what kind of injectors and fuel pump are required.

The 10% Ethanol blend is common in the midwest, E85 is starting to be more
available.

Hy Olle

Methanol has real problems but ethanol doesn?t and don?t make people?s
cry....
Here we have a backup with 3 liters of gas to cold start.
You can do it in a simple way.
A little injector in the manifold, do you know that "motor" wich spray water
to clean the front of the car or the front glass (i?ve forgot the name)
It?s simple that way, a little extra circuit with gasoline that can be
injected by a little switch inside your car.
look this site, you?ll see pictures of the backup
http://www.mercadolivre.com.br/jm/item?site=MLB&id=27354414
You?ll notice what i talking about.
if you want to search in the net:
www.google.com.br
search key =partida+frio
you?ll see the kits tha we use here to make cold start.
Ethanol has aldehydes but it?s no so big than gas.......it really DOES NOT
hold well.
Someone coud think. What Brazil know about it?
Well Brazil has developed it a long time ago, and today another big contries
like German, Japan are developing technology to use ethanol.........
Legal Ethanol here has 110 octanes, so you can use more compression ratio,
more turbo pressure etc.
The emissions are totally under gas emissions, motor goes far without the
"trash" tha gas deposits (carbon etc) into the chamber, carter, piston,
valves etc.
Best Regards
