[Gmecm] dual tank issue

The issue appears to be the return fuel in a dual tank system.
A similar problem was solved in Landrovers in which twin tanks were 
fitted ca. 1993. I quote:

"When two fuel tanks are fitted, a dashboard-mounted switch allows the 
driver to select which tank fuel is drawn from by energising the 
appropriate fuel pump when the ignition is switched on. The selector 
switch has two additional functions. Firstly it connects the fuel gauge 
to the appropriate tank level indicator so that the fuel level displayed 
is that in the tank in use. Secondly, it activates a solenoid valve in 
the spill return pipe so that unused fuel returned from the vapour 
separator goes to the tank in use. The solenoid valve is a 
non-repairable unit which must be renewed if malfunctioning. A 
non-return ball valve is incorporated in the hose connection of the 
supply pipe from each tank to prevent any back-flow of fuel in the 
supply lines and consequent cross-feeding from one tank to the other."
