What did you do for a crank position sensor? I don't know much about
changes to the 60 degree v6 family after the early 90's. As far as I'm
aware the "rear drive" engines (ones with distributors and cast iron heads)
had no provisions for a crank sensor. This is at least true for the
80's/early 90's s-10 and camaro engines.
The front wheel drive/DIS engines have a sensor boss and cast in trigger
ring on the crank, and a little stub that takes the place of the distributor
so the oil pump can be turned.
