Old 486 Board for ECU? Why?

I went to Electromotive's web page and read up on the TEC II unit. They
claim 1/4 degree resolution. This seems more reasonable than the 1.1 degree
that I can imagine. I was wondering how you could handle situations where
you might want to advance the timeing, say, 1.5 degrees at 5600rpm. I dont'
want to try to interpolate in this area. At any rate, how much would I
expect to pay for a CAS? And are they available w/ 1/4 degree resolution?

down the road I could extropolate what I have learned and embed it into

purchased from Electromotive specifically for their Tec II unit, which I
have, and redrilling the sensor plates to match my Dodge engine was a breeze
for one of my buddies. Me, I can't drill a round hole with my drill press
:)
