Ok then let's talk. You intend to run a separate coil for each cylinder, as
do I. This does add a bit of complexity to the design. It also allows us
to have finer control over the spark on a per-cylinder basis.
My question:
Is it worth the trouble?
comments?

I believe it is the Saab DIS... which uses a secondary spark after
ignition
to check ionization within the cylender, and to tell a whole bunch of
differnet things (knock, pressure, rich/lean??,etc).. each coil- on -
plug
pack houses (or so i've read) a capacitor that is used for the secondary
spark.....
I am also working on a dis system, although do not know enough as of yet
to
set anything up (which is why i am on this mailing list, trying to
learn)...
but am definitely planning on running separate coils (for each cylender)
as
the motor is a 5 cylender--
