ALDL Interface

i recently purchased an ALDL cable from AKM electronics.  I have been trying 
to get it to work on my 1989 Z24 5 Speed. I am not knowledgable on the ALDL 
data stream, and I have yet to find a software package that accomadtes my 
car.  Is there one that I haven't found, or do i need to configure an 
existing software package to suit my needs.  If so, how does one do that?
