The stock Edelbrock pump is good for 450 HP but not for 500 HP and is
reasonably quiet. You can have mine for $100. Edelbrock uses 24 lb injectors @
3.5 bar and calls 'em 30 pounders. I tried 36s to get more fuel to a 500 hper
and could not lower the regulator or fuel settings enough to get it right. I
went to 30s (pretend 36s) at 3.5 bar and things are better but the pump leans
out over 5500. I got the big NOS pump - it's a Bosch but I don't have the
numbers in front of me.
