Hi!
We have allmost the same car! I have a 69 NSU 1000TT with 1850cc VW
(NSU)K70 engine with a T3 size turbo and dellorto turbo carb.
I build this car in mid 80 s I would love to change to efi to get better
milage and power. The most important thing is to have the right ignition
timing curve, thats difficoult with the mecanical system .If I was going to
do it I would use 332 efi or
Autronics ecu,Turbo chargeing have different demands on the ecu /software
than a nat and not every ecu is prepared even if they say it will work.Peek
and hold injectors,or stagered saturated, sequential to use less fuel when
the boost pressure is higher than exhaust bacpressure, sequential for one
long injecting period is easier to controll with presition than 2
short,(idle)less ignition advance under hard accleration because a spooling
up turbine is creating a higher backpressure=higher temp combustion ,more
prone to detonations. What controls the airflow trou the engine is the
efficiency of the turbo and the steeply rising backpressure at high rpms
,what you are doing is to map the ecu against the backpressure with the
inlet pressure as a assumtion of what the backpressure is....
I dont know what your ecu s features and capabilitys are and your hp aim
could maybe be reached with not that high pressure.
I cut my fuel tank to make room for the battery in front of the car, I just
welded a hose outlet in the buttom for the K-jet fuel fuelpump
that sits under the car.......dam your right ,(thinking while I write.....)
I have not experianced any fuel starvation in the corners but maybe thats
just because I have the carb bowl as a reservoir....
be prepared for some fun with your little car ! My eats BMWs and Porches
for lunch and AC Cobras for dinner
Thanks
Espen

Be careful that the old pump can deliver enough fuel for the engine.
best I think.
