Absolutely!

The important part is to saturate the mixture.  No "pressure" is required 
only a semi closed system.  Be sure that the the valve relieves into a 
charcoal canister or a well ventilated area.  The idea is to come up with a 
system that maintains an unburnable ratio while not exceeding the mechanical 
limits of the parts involved. Sorry that was less than clear.
