[Diy_efi] Converting LH system to work w/ MAP sensor

Hey all,
De-lurking to ask something that's been rolling around
in my head for a couple weeks.
How feasible would it be to fit a MAP sensor to the
manifold of a turbo car- and then monitor its output
voltage as well as that of the existing AMM. Then,
construct a rather large table listing the AMM outut
voltage as well as the MAP's output voltage at say 256
different load points. You could then remove the AMM
and put in it's place a Microcontroller. The MAP sensor
voltage is read into it's onboard AD converter, then
the MCU uses a lookup table to find the corresponding
AMM output voltage. It then sends this to the ecu. I
know it wouldn't do a lot, but in particlarly high
performance setups being able to remove the AMM would
be a welcome improvement with regards to restriction.
It'd also be nice to never have to replace another
expensive LH AMM. Thoughts?

peripherals)
