I bought one of those $80 plastic offshore wonders.  I 
could point it straight into traffic and rarely even get a 
reading.  Save your money.

That web site www.radarsales.com for used cop radars 
is no good either. I called them, and they are no longer 
selling anything but their house brand.

All police radars (speed but no range) use doppler shift .
