[Diy_efi] MAF calibration

Perry,
Some probes (V6 GT) and first gen (<'92) use MECS. Mine is an eec-iv, the
sticker under the hood said so (if that can be trusted [grin]). There must
be some mid-year changes also. another guy asked if I had 1 large or 3
smaller connectors to the pcm.

Bill, Thanks for the info but no labels on the pass door except tire stuff
My pcm is inside the center console. I dug around in there, and no luck
with a processor code. The PO had a cruse control installed and they
accessed the speed sensor off of the pcm harness. Maybe they lost the
sticker?

Thanks again.
Thom

Tom,

This isn't a Ford EEC-IV. It's a MECS. Mazda Engine Control System.
The Probe, being a mazda motor uses a hybrid of Ford and Mazda components.
The sensors and stuff are similar to ford sensors, but the ECU is mazda.

"Just pop off the
panel the computer is right there. You should be able to read the computer
tag ID on the connector, just like Perry said.
