[Diy_efi] TBI's for VW aircooled, which are most compact for center mount?

I would consider a TBI, but only if I can find one that is fairly small.
I would need room for a sealed air inlet, which I can make up out of Al,
I know how to TIG weld, etc. Which USA sold car has the most compact TBI
setup? It's for a turbo, sealing may be an issue too.
As it is now, I was going to use a stock VW throttle body from an EFI
bug
and put the injectors at the ports, but not using the stock VW injection
manifolds, because they look as thin as a drinking straw!
I've overcome the need to do fixed freq. PWM, and will now use a crank
trigger, on the pulley.
I don't want to use anything like two TBIs because I want to avoid any
throttle plate sync issues.

im finally gonna chime in here. i would use 2 2.5 cyl 4cyl tbis. or just
one. volkswagen carbs suck and so do most of there weber and other
conversion carbs. but using 2 of the above tbi's would most likely be
ovecarbrating unless youve got a seriously poked and stroked 1600cc vw
motors with alot of cam. as a foot note using one tbi with a 1227747 ecm
could net you with a nice peice but as you stated your using turbos i
would suggest using a 1227749 ecm wired for peak/hold injectors with one
tbi. good luck.and a petronix igntion conversion to fire the gm module.
