Yup, tis all tooo true. But simple dilution from the H2O injection is
quite easy to figure in. And then figure the alcohol separately as a
fuel, if you're working by hand calcs.

As in all of life, 'it depends'. :) If you had one of our EGORpro model
meters, correction for 'mere diluents' is included in its feature set.
Just like the big three (Bo$ch, Horiba, ECM). If you think mixed
combustibles and mere diluents makes things messy, add to that 'mere
oxygenates', like NOS. The N is a diluent because the sensor isn't
sensitive to it as a combustible. So there you have a diluent AND an
oxygenate. Alcohols & nitro are a combo of fuel and oxygenate. So is
solid rocket fuel. :)

It's alot like cooking. Some find it too messy and beg off cooking at
all, others enjoy it as long as they can work with a known good recipe,
so the outcome is likely to be some good results. Others, the most
hardy, intrepid, adventurous souls, just throw things in and hope for
something tasty. Fortunately, in engine work and cooking, the last
category usually kill themselves off early with either blown engines or
food poisoning.

Oh, I left out the careful experimentalists who, like true scientists,
watch there butts while they're mixing their concoctions, so they don't
hurt themselves. But then, that would be boring, woodnit?
