Is the pump an electronic one, or a mechanical one?
If it's electronic, you need to find out who makes your controller.
Then we can tell if there's anything you can do.

I appreciate this is off topic but I believe a few people hear have
excellent experience with tuning turbo charged diesels? My cousin is racing
a Landrover in local events with a standard Rover 3.5 V-8 but I believe
there are a number of tuned 300Tdi which are very competitive. The problem
is I can't find any good information about tuning turbo diesels other than
companies selling there survives with stage 1 thought to 4 etc.

The engine is a 4 cylinder, 2.5liter with a 90.5mm bore 97mm stroke. It
produces 110hp @ 4,000RPM and 195b ft @ 1,800RPM. Valve are 39/36.5mm
inlet/exhaust The turbo is a Allied signal unit with max boost of 0.83 to
1.04 The intercooler is small and robustly made with a very thick casting.

We are looking for approximately 150+ Hp and as much torque as possible. The
area I'm least familiar with is the diesel injector pump, the fuelling curve
and timing. But I would be very grateful for any information regarding this
sort of project all together. Thanks, Toby
