[Diy_efi] DIY-WBO2 circuit improvement suggestion

How many amps does the DIY-WB @14V draw?
if it's less than 5, then the idea of a DC-DC converter is pretty good, you 
step the voltage up to 24, and then use a LM338, it's a VERY easy to use 
voltage regulator, can supply 5A, it's even adjustable *and* is cheap :) .
