I was thinking in the big metallic TO3 package... but forget it, as Bruce
pointed, I didn't thought of the "detail" of getting it to work on a small
battery ..... with the dissipation of the linear regulator & the DC-DC power
supply, the only battery able to source that will be a truck's or a
tractor's.
But for a truck, you could put the DC-DC converter & the 338 with a nice
heatsink under the driver seat.... and voilá: DIY-HeatedSeats ;)
I must stop posting my ideas to the list without my morning coffee to wake up
:)
