The usable range of the sensor element is 700-950C.  If you exceed 1000C,
the Vs cell's electrolytic reaction is lowered.  Below 600C you run the
risk of blackening the Ip pump cell.

The DIY-WB site has info on the heater impedance at several temperatures.
I know the schematic has that information.
