I know of quite a few LT1 guys who have used a high temperature epoxy (250F+
temp rating) to coat the floor of the inside of their intake manifolds for
this very
purpose.  Some have claimed measureable improvements at the track on the
order
of .1-.15 in the quarter.  Its an inexpensive weekend project that would
probably
be worth trying.
