Given a car with approx. frontal area of 1.7 m and a
CD of 0.32, you will require approx. 2.5 bhp at the
tires to maintain 60km/h on a calm day.  That should
be a shade over 3 bhp at the crank.

I honestly don't know what the power output at idle is
for an automobile engine.  Theoretically, exactly
enough to oversome friction within the engine.  3 bhp
seems like a lot.
