Big Injectors in Little Engine?

This may sound like a stupid idea, but what if I was to put a set of SVO 24 or 30# injectors in a 305 TPI MAF? They're cheap, and it would offer me peace of mind (kind of like the new harness did). Could they be tamed to work well in a 305?

The rationale is to replace the existing suspect injectors while planning (budgetarily) for future larger-displacement applications. What kind of issues am I likely to run into? Obviously, the FI sizing params will need to be spec'd out. S-Ware mods are within grasp. There may be more fundamental issues though, right?

I'm guessing there may be some problems with the pulse width correction requirements at small-width ranges, because the larger injectors will be open for a much shorter duration particularly at idle. Thus, the effect of delays and such opening/closing may become more significant and require compensation. Perhaps as the pulse width becomes quite small at idle (like 500RPM 305 would ask for), the fuel delivery would become inconsistent as a result of the predominant open-close time. There has been discussion here recently on related issues, so I wanted to feed from your experiences if possible.

Since I'm considering this near-term, I wanted to place it before the group for comment and judgement. All answers welcomed.
