seeing as how the need seems to be out there, i've
started designing a web site that will allow users to
convert definition files from format a to format b to format
 c, etc.

there are still some details to work out, but i
figured having something on the web that would to this
converstion seemed a lot easier to do than having to push a
bunch of code to an end-user.

what i would like to know is what types of file
formats people would like to see up there. i would
especially like to hear from those who have commercial/freeware
packages out there that would/wouldn't want their
definition file formats to be included in this
 little operation.

while this web site wouldn't replace the desire or
need for a standardized file format, it would allow
users to create a definition file in their preferred
format and (if willing), share their research and
 development with others.
