1227148 to 1227749 conversion?

Has anybody made this swap before or know someone who did? A friend of mine has an '87 T-type and is interested in upgrading(?) to the SyTy '749 ECM. He wants the faster baud rate of the P4 and speed density. 

I'm going to do some digging to find out what this swap would entail, but I thought I'd see if anybody has done this before or if my vision has been clouded by a CSH that's too big. :)
